INFORMATION ABOUT THE TOUR:  You will  cross the borders of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Once you are in Nicaragua and a short distance from the border you will see the great Lake Nicaragua – one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world  and  the AMAZING views of  the two volcanoes known as  Maderas and Concepcion.

Next, you will visit one of Nicaragua’s most active volcanoes, the Masaya Volcano; the first declared national park in the country and the only volcano in the western hemisphere where you are able to drive to the rim. Next stop is Masaya, known as the Cradle of Nicaraguan Folklore and the very heart of handicrafts. The main Masaya market is divided into sections where you can find the finest products such as hand woven hammocks, embroidered blouses and wood carvings as well as ceramics and artwork. A visit is also included of the village of CATARINA where you will have the opportunity to take pictures of the INCREDIBLE VOLCANIC lake of Apoyo.

After this stop you will visit Granada, the Central America’s oldest European-founded city with plenty of colonial churches, narrow streets and large homes with beautiful indoor patios, tiled roofs and pretty colonial colors. Granada was founded in 1524 and was named after the city of Granada in Spain.

Part of the tour is a FABULOUS BOAT RIDE in Lake Nicaragua where there are 365 Volcanic islands and many are inhabited by both Nicaraguans and foreigners. You will see their beautiful homes on these islands as well as a family of monkeys on one of the islands. Beautiful flora and fauna abounds. Also many species of birds.

Pick up time from your villa or Hotel will be 5.00am to 5.30am Returning time  7-8 pm / dinner is not included.

For more than 4 persons cost is reduced to $160 per persons                          

What to bring: Passport ( very important ) plus photocopy. Comfortable shoes for walking, casual outfit, camera, sunglasses etc.
